HTM 01-05, Decontamination Section 1.25
Training and education in the processes of pathogen control, decontamination, cleaning and hygiene (including hand hygiene), exposure to blood-borne viruses, and infection risk reduction, including waste disposal, should be part of staff induction programmes. They are key aspects of patient safety and service quality. Accordingly the provision of training and competency records is a keyrequirement. As part of verifiable continuous professional development (CPD), professionals working in this area will receive not less than five hours’ training in this area over a period of five years.
We have constructed each presentation in a light hearted, yet very informative manner. The presentation lasts between 1-2 hours and can be done as a lunch and learn before, during lunch or after work, we even provide the lunch! The presentation takes place at your practice for up to 12 people (extra people upon request). Each attendee will receive an electronic certificate which gives 1 or 2 hours verifiable CPD.
The feedback received on the training has been overwhelming and we have been recommended to dental practises all over the UK. Do not just take our word for it, see what practices have had to say;
"We would highly recommend using Professional Hygiene. The training session was very informative. It ensures we are meeting all the best practice guidelines. The ongoing service is excellent. Professional hygiene take care of everything which leaves me time to focus on dentistry."
